Wow that was scary! Who even knows if anything would have happened to you but getting out of there by any means was the best move. When I visited our orphanage in rural Kenya, at least 3 and usually 5 pastors were with me everywhere.
Fun fact; John tried to rent a car in Uganda and at 79 was told he was over the age limit. :-)

Wow! Not your usual story! Would I have gotten out of the car? How much do we act on instinct or what we are “trained” to do? But is that right in every situation? You obviously made the right decision in finally driving off. I totally agree with the woman at the end. It is something I told my daughters - it is ok to lie to save your life. May you continue to heal.
