Harris Tweed

For the past four years, our Scotland tour has been visiting Harris Tweed weaver Gordon MacDonald at his studio in Stornoway, where he spends most of his day pedaling his Hattersley domestic loom.

MacDonald didn't intend to become a weaver, he spent a number of years in the banking industry until the crash of 2007-2008 made him rethink his career choice. He now designs a beautiful selection of tweeds that proudly carry the Harris Tweed name, making him a vital part of a textile tradition unique to his Scottish home.

We are so pleased to have crafted several of his tweeds into sturdy, convenient bags. Perfectly sized, and affordably priced.
