Kalamkari

Kalamkari is a 3,000-year-old textile art form.  It served as a medium for visual storytelling during an era when oral traditions were the primary means of communication. Travel artists often painted on cloth scrolls to narrate folklore or epics to local people. The combination of hand stitching and intricate painting makes each piece unique and a precious art form.
