Each item produced at Tinstaba has been handcrafted by a team of women living in rural Swaziland. Their training begins with making simple baskets - some eventually achieve master weaver status. Interestingly, the smaller the weaving involved - particularly the silver disc jewelry pieces - the higher the skill level.
We are delighted to be carrying a line of Tintsaba baskets and jewelry, as they limited exposure in the US beyond their annual showcase at the Santa Fe Folk Art Market, underscoring the level of their craft.
