    Turkey has given us the Angora rabbit, the Angora goat, and Mehmet; a world class felter who lives in Konya and has been "crowning" the heads of whirling dervishes for generations with his felted masterpieces.

    For hundreds of years, Turkish shepherds have worn felted woolen coats called kepeneks, which literally cover them from head to toe, and keep them warm and dry in all types of weather. They may not look like the height of fashion but looks are a distant second when it comes to survival.
